It is responsible for guaranteeing society, as a public service, the quality, safety, efficacy and correct information of medicines and <a href=\"https:\/\/productosanitario.es\/category\/producto-sanitario\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">medical devices<\/a>. From the research phase to its use, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aemps.gob.es\/productos-sanitarios\/productos-sanitarios\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AEMPS <\/a>protects and promotes the health of people, animals and the environment.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5382ab1 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"5382ab1\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aemps.gob.es\/productos-sanitarios\/productos-sanitarios\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AEMPS<\/a> has a Notified Body (<a href=\"https:\/\/certificaps.gob.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">0318<\/a>), so it also acts as an auditing body in relation to the <a href=\"https:\/\/productosanitario.es\/en\/medical-device-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-abc=\"true\">requirements<\/a> of products and medicines.<br>Among its activities, the following stand out in relation to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.productosanitario.es\/producto-sanitario\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-abc=\"true\">medical device<\/a>:<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/productosanitario.es\/evaluacion-clinica-de-producto-sanitario-preguntas-y-respuestas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-abc=\"true\">Authorisation of clinical investigations<\/a> of medical devices.<\/li><li>Certification, control and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.productosanitario.es\/sistema-de-vigilancia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-abc=\"true\">surveillance of medical devices<\/a>.<\/li><li>Fight against illegal or falsified medical devices.<\/li><li>Drafting <a href=\"https:\/\/productosanitario.es\/category\/rd-192-2023-producto-sanitario\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">of national medical device legislation<\/a>
